Carolyn, I have never heard anything about the Thomason name being changed from Thompson. Are there any Pattons or Spencers listed. Anna Patton Thomason was my father-in-law's mother. Her mother's madien name was Spencer. I know these people existed but it sure is hard to discover where. The last of Tom Thomason and Anna Patton Thomason's children was born in 1894. Then Tom disappears and no one knows how or why. Thanks for looking up the info for me. POLLY
