Greetings,

Sarah Painter, 1834, Va.(?)- Mo. Or Tx. (?)

Malinda E., 1854, Tazewell Co., Va.-

Mary E. Morton, 1856 Va.-

Elizabeth, 1858 Va.-

Katherine J. “Katie” 1859 Va.-

Robert Lee 1863 Va. (?)-

Lovlett B. 11 July 1866 Va.- 10 March 1890 Tx. (?)

Martha Morton 1868 Mo.-

Charles (Peyton?) 1873 Mo-

This is pieced together from the 1860 census Tazewell Co, Va., the 1880 census Wise Co. Tx.., Information from other researchers and from the Ancestry.com family tree system hints I use to make my family tree.
Robert Craig 1831 and family went from Va. To Mo. about 1868-69 and MAY have been in Lewis Co. in 1870. Robert Craig’s nephews John Robert 1862 traveled with them and *James Charles 1847 lived in Callaway Co. Mo., they were son’s of his brother *James Wilson 1818. By 1880 R.C. and family were in Wise Co. Tx..
There is no record of Sarah Painter 1834 there in Tx.. I believe she died in Mo. or Tx..
I have found a reference that Robert Craig 1831 was married to a Barrows. I do not know if they married in MO. or Tx.. I do not know if any of the children listed are hers.

Can anyone help me any information about the Robert C. Morton family in Texas? Anything about his children and their families.

*James Wilson 1818-1866 + Elizabeth Charles 1825-1862
*James C. 1847-aft.1920 + Martha Gilbert 1858-aft.1910
Pearl Morton 1899-1990 + Harrison John Spencer 1882-1965
(my grandparents from Mo.)

Thank You
