Thanks for the suggestion. I have just spent about an hour online looking at the site and going through the pages. The name "THAMES" is often transcribed incorrectly as "THOMAS" and so I must go thru all of the Thomas ones to be sure. I was hoping someone had access to a source such as soundex (not sure Texas even had soundex in 1900). I'm not sure that my family was in Wise County in 1900 and I don't know exactly which county they may have been in, so it's like looking for a needle in a haystack. I haven't finished going through the Wise County 1900 listing for Thomas yet, so I will finish that. There were no listings for Thames (sometimes spelled Timms on census records due to pronunciation). Thanks again. The search continues.
