I am looking for information on Pallas Marion Hensley listed in the 1880 census. He is listed near and Eliza Hensley, head of household along with Joseph Broomfield, sil, Catherine Broomfield, dau and several grandchildren and Gideon and Bell Hensley, grandchildren. I belive Eliza died in Wise County and that Bell died there too. Mary Eliza Wariner is Pallas' daughter. She lived there with her husband George Franklin Wariner. They had several children in Alvord. I was told they took school land and built houses. They lived there 20 years. What is taking school land? Do they own it? HOw do I check on that?
