Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

JANET
I HAVEN'T FOUND ANYTHING ON THE FAMILYOF JOHN W. MOORE, BUT I HAVE A JOHN W. MOORE LISTED AS THE COUNTY CLERK OF WISE COUNTY IN THE YEARS OF 1864 & 1865. ALSO JUSTICE OF THE PEACE IN 1862. HE IS LISTED UNDER--NOVEMBER 3, 1896-1898 AS SHERIFF.DID NOT FIND ANY OTHER MOORES IN THIS BOOK. IF THIS IS YOUR JOHN W. MOORE, SINCE HE HELD PUBLIC OFFICE YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIND INFO ON HIM AT THE COUNTY COURT HOUSE AT DECATUR, WISE COUNTY, TEXAS.
SORRY I COULD NOT BE OF MORE HELP
CAROLYN
