I did see some Nunn graves at one of the cemeteries when in Wise Co--can't remember which ones. I noticed because that is my maiden name.
My cousin documented this:
James Madison Nunn
b 1823 Henry Co VA
d 1878 Popular Bluff, Butler, MO
married 12 Feb 1850 Patrick Co, VA
Martha Washington Spencer
b 1834 Patrick Co, VA
d Nov, 1890 Alvord, Wise Co, TX

James is a grandfather to Bueford Ray Nunn who was born in Wise Co TX 13 May 1896.
James's father is Neusom Jesse Nunn b 1859 VA. His wife was Sarah Isabelle Lacks.

My great uncle, William, "Willie" and aunt Johnnie Nunn lived in this area also. Both are buried at Vernon, TX. They would have died in the 1960's or 70's.

Do you have the Nunns of the South book? or
John Nunn Revolutionary Soldier?
I just looked in the John Nunn book--yours are not in the index--Alpha Nunn or John Nigh.
Nothing indexed in the Nunns of the South either. Sorry. Maybe it will give you some names to play with--never know!
