Information sought about my distant relatives, descendants of the REYES and the RODRIGUES families who originally lived in Atascosa County throughout the 1800s and into early 1900s. Descendants who might still live in the area -- the original families came to the area from the state of Durango in Mexico from the area of NAZAS, Durango and from the area of TORREON and Saltillo, Coahuila,as well as from Monterrey, Mexico...

Names such (jOSE)CRUZ Reyes and PATRICIO REYES, and MARIA DE JESUS RODRIGUES REYES, and others...

They lived in the areas of POTEET, JOURDANTON, PLEASANTON, LEMING, Floresville, for example (and surrounding counties) -- family names such as CASARES, TRASFI, VEGA and others had connections to the family names mentioned... My grandfather PATRICIO REYES and grandmother MARIA de JESUS RODRIGUEZ REYES died in 1931 and 1935, respectively, and are buried at the ST JOSEPH CEMETERY outside of LEMING in an area that used to be called LAS GALLINAS.

(Jose)CRUZ REYES and PATRICIO REYES were cousins, I believe. Any information would be appreciated...
