Tell me more stories about Stockdale. I came to live in Wilson County abt 1963 i was in the second grade. We lived in Floresville a few years then Stockdale were my mother still lives and I have property and some day will move back if the Lord is welling to keep me around that long. I have moved back to Floresville and have been here now for ten years. The one thing that stands out in my mind the most it walking to school and stopping at Connally's drug store for a ice cream float. You would draw a number and that would be the amount you paid. This boy name Don Karnes would buy me one almost everyday. Those were the days. We could walk to school and not worry about anyone getting us. Floresville and Stockdale was a saft place to grow up. Lots of good times and sad. I no that 123 is not a good road to travel I lost my brother in 1967 and my first sweetheart in 1972 on that raod. When I drive it I do it with alot of respect.
