Hello Edward,
Im not sure how to extract your direct email so I will reply here. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

THe information I have about Tilghman Anderson Cantrell is that he was living in Randolph County/Talladega AL for a large chunk of the 19th century. He lived to his late 90s and apparently made a rather extended speech in front of the Talladega Courthouse when he was past 90.
I found this out from a transcription my mother made of an article from the 1913 Anniston AL Daily HotBlast about a Cantrell Family Reunion. Also, this article refers to Tilghman's death and the date of it in Texas at Floresville, June 11, 1897.I cannot find an original of this article so far.

Tilghman had a daughter named NANCY CATHERINE CANTRELL TURNER (Then Johnson in her 2nd marriage). Her son Tilghman Anderson Turner is who Im descended from. Though there is more than one of that name but Ive sorted it through from the one who died in a Union prison in Delaware during the WBTS.
I have found Nancy Catherine's grave in Anniston but it is under the Johnson name.
Other than census records, I havent found anything much about Tilghman SR.
ANY information you might have would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Vicki C
