You might try cemetery where their son was buried. Found some information on that cemetery from the Falls Co, TX GenWeb site, don't see a listing for Wilhelm and Augusta.

It's listed as Cego Cemetery, but part of the history of the cemetery states -- East side of cemetery (German section), also referred to as St. Paul United Church Cemetery. http://www.txgenweb6.org/txfalls/Cemeteies_New/Cego/CegoCemetery.htm

Several Fiends buried there, with connection to Richard and his wife Frieda. Maybe obits for some of the later deaths in the family might list survivors and you could track them down, see if any of them know anything that might help you.
