We have in our family tree a Herman Ludwig Hensel b. 22 Jul 1820 in Gera Germany and died 29 Dec 1903 in Austin Travis Co., TX Herman married Bertha Marie Riedel who was also born in Germany on 14 Nov 1843 and she died 4 Sep 1902 in Austin, Travis Co,, TX. Herman's mother was Bertha Johanna Sophie Hafer possibly born in Gera, Germany. Our grandmother also spoke of Lipzig, Germany, but not sure of a connection. Herman had at least two brothers named Adolph Joseph and Carl. Maybe more siblings, not sure! Any help with this family would be greatly appreciated!
