I am seeking information on William H. Holland born in 1850 in Chochtaw Co. AL. He moved to Leon Co. Texas as a child. He was a lawyer in Leon Co. in 1880. Moved to Georgetown. He was married to a Kate Patrick in Leon Co. Kate died Aug. 24, 1940 in Georgetown. William's sister was Lula H. Leavell who was married to John H. Leavell. Lula was born Aug. 6,1854 in AL and died Nov. 1895. John Leavell was a Georgetown merchant. The Lula and John also moved from Leon Co. to Georgetown @ 1880. W. K. Makemson was an attorney in Georgetown. He may have been associated with William Holland. I think Kate Holland married a Makemson after William death. W.K. traveled to NY City in 1886 to defend James Thomas Holland in a murder trial. He was one of four attorneys representing J.T. Holland. James Holland is William and Lula's brother.
