You might try Southwestern University. They have the Williamson County Sun on microfilm. They also have a Special-Collections area that contains some historic items of Williamson County. Their website is:
www.southwesternuniversity.edu/library/special-collections

Also, The University of Texas in Austin has the UT Center for American History. They have the largest collection of Texas newspapers. Some of the collection is on microfilm, but they have original papers as well.
