Your right about the hotel in old Corn Hill as being known as the "Black" hotel.. it was owned by a man by the name of John D Black according to a news article I have about Corn Hill. As for a hotel in Jarrell, according to the Handbook of Tx online, there was one here in 1914. But as to who owned that one, I do not know.
