Hi, Emilie...

My great uncle was named Edward Hodges Clark...but, I haven't been able to link him to any families by the name of Hodges. I haven't spent a lot of time on it, though. His father (John Alexander White Clark) was born in the Abingdon, VA area and migrated to TX after the Civil War. Edward's older and younger brothers (all born in TX) had the middle names of Campbell and Franklin (which are old VA names). But, I haven't run across any Hodges. I thought perhaps that the Hodges name came from Edward's mother's side...but, I have lots of records on her family (back about 4 or 5 generations) and don't see any Hodges there, either.

The Clark family you mention in Williamson Co, TX, is definitely not related to my line. Wish there was a connection...I've been searching for my gggrandparents' (Clark in VA) names for some time...but, so far, no luck.

Best wishes for your own search...
