I was told one time that there was a Blackman Motel or something like that back in the early 1900's. Or maybe it was a motel owned by people named Blackman. It was in or near Jarrell Texas. Does anyone have information about this? Wondering if it was my Blackman family that owned it. My great great grandfather was William B. Blackman. His wife was Mary E. Montgomery Blackman. They are both buried in Jarrell Texas, but from my understanding there are no cemeteries in Jarrell, so maybe they were buried on there land. I believe that the land that they owned may have been somewhere near a place referred to as Corn Hill.
There children were: William Edward Blackman married Ann Cargill; Joseph Blackman; John Patrick Blackman married Mannie Avery; Ellen Blackman Blackwell; Josie Blackman Davis; Sophia Elizabeth Blackman married Howard Croft; Ruth Ann Blackman married Charles D. Richards; Andrew Cornelius Blackman married Dora Victoria/Florence Adams; and Frances Blackman Conlee. Any information on any of these people or any documents would be greatly appreciated.
