Evidently, the home that Edna Gladney worked for in 1924 was called the Texas Children's Home and didn't become the Edna Gladney Home until 1950. But as it was the Edna Gladney Home after 1950, and she had been there many years it was probably referred to as the Edna Gladney Home, as if it had always been named that.

"Edna Gladney was an employee for the Texas Children’s Home in the 1920’s.

Edna Gladney was the director for the Texas Children’s Home from 1927 until 1950 when the home was renamed after her."
