Below is the obit for George William WATSON. handwritten date 1-4-66: George Watson Dies At Home George W. Watson, 85-year-old retired municipal employee of 306 Clift, died Monday at his home. A Wichitan for 20 years, Watson was employed by the city's parks and recreation department at Riverside Cemetery until his retirement several years ago. He was born Nov. 7, 1880, in Maxey, Tex., and was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Fannie; two daughters, Miss Bessie Watson, Wichital Falls; and Mrs. Jennie Wilson, Germany; five sons, Ed and Elbert, both of Wichita Falls; Dave Watson, Seagraves; Walter Watson, Paris; and Jack Watson, San Luis Obispo, Calif.; 34 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Arrangements are under direction of Hampton-Vaughan Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Baptis Church in Direct, Tex., near Paris, with the Rev. J. L. Wideman, former pastor, officiating. Grandsons will be pallbearers. Burial will be in the Direct Cemetery under direction of Hampton- Vaugh Funeral Home.
