My last "brick wall" is Pleasant E. HUNTER (b 1875 TN) He married my great-grandmother, Margaret PENDERGRASS, in Grayson Co 1898. My grandmother was born later that year, but her parents had already separated, and soon divorced. P.(spelled "Plesant") E. HUNTER (age 34)is living in Wichita Falls by 1910 census with 2nd wife, Bessie, and working as a "foreman in an elevator" He fills out a WWI draft registration in 1918, and it states that he has "one brown eye and one blue eye" In the Wichita Falls census 1920, Pleasant is working as a policeman.P. (spelled "Plesant")E. HUNTER, Bessie, and 2 children, P.E.jr., and daughter, Florence. Pleasant is working as a policeman. By the 1930 Wichita census, P.(spelled Pleasant)E.HUNTER is living with wife Bessie and son P.E.jr, and Florence is not there. I have found the son listed as a sophmore in the Wichita Falls High School in 1927. Then he is married to a Clarita FULCHER (dau. of Jessie and Bessie FULCHER) and they have 2 children, Mitzi Jean (b 1934) and a son,Pleasant Elec HUNTER II. That's the only reference to what the "E" stood for that I've ever seen in 14 years of research. I would welcome ANY additional information about this family!! He is the only greatgrandparent that I have never been able to "pin down", and I would love to know more about him. Notify Administrator about this message?
