Seeking information about Lavinna (aka Vina) MASSENGILL and her husband John? MASSENGILL of the pharmaceutical family. I think they met in Texas but I don't know where they lived.
Re: Samuel Evans MASENGILL b 5 Feb 1871 & wife Ina May JOBE parents of Harriet Pauline MASENGILL who m Frank W. DEFRIECE. I learned that Samuel E. MASSENGILL founded the pharmaceutical company and that his grandson, Frank W. DEFRIECE, Jr. later took over and now serves on the board and lives in Bristol, Sullivan co, TN. My husband's grand-aunt, Maggie F. REECE had a grandaughter named Lavinna (aka "Vina") REECE born abt 1907 of Stone co, MO who married two millionaires!! I think Lavinna died in Wichita Falls, TX around 1960. She and her sister, Bessie REECE-DAVIDSON were living in Wichita Falls, Wichita co, TX in Jan 1950 when their father, William Franklin Dewitt REECE died. Lavinna REECE's 2nd marriage was-probably abt 1940-50 to a millionaire, John? MASSENGILL -said to be of the pharmaceutical MASSENGILL family. Her 1st marriage was to James E. PARKER (also a millionaire) with whom she had 2 children: Lawanda PARKER b est 1928 and a son, Jimmy PARKER b est 1930 who died in an auto accident as a young adult perhaps abt. 1950. Lavinna's first husband, James E. PARKER attempted to kill her by shooting her several times and he went to prison. Lavinna (Vina)'s father, William Franklin Dewitt REECE / REESE of Reed Springs, Missouri was married 3 times and Lavinna was one of his was one of his 7 children.
