Thought I would add the Chilton name to this discussion of those who attended Pakan school. I know that at least my aunts Henrietta and Loretta Fay Chilton as well as my dad Porter Chilton all went to school at the Pakan school in the 20s. I'm not sure, but I think this is the school that my dad was the only first grader and he got to sit in the teacher's lap to do his reading.

I would love to correspond with anyone who might remember the Chilton family. William J. Chilton and his wife, Henrietta, moved from Harmon County to Wheeler County in about 1917 with a number of their 11 children including grown son Josh; teenage boys Hubert (Chubby), Ben, and Pete; daughters, Loretta Fay, Jennie May, Henrietta; and baby Porter.
