I am trying to verify some ancestor information. I am hoping that there is a relative out there that can help me. My father is a SEYMOUR. He is CONNARD ODELL SEYMOUR, born 5-8-31 and died 10-14-68.
His father was CARL HERMAN SEYMOUR (known as BLACKIE)who was born 11-11-1901 and died on 5-15-1969. He resided in Shamrock, Wheeler County, Texas. My grandmother was ALMA MAE BREEDEN (may have been spelled differently-possibly BREEDING). She was born 6-25-1903 and she died August 1978. She also lived in Shamrock, Wheeler County, Texas. I know that my grandfather's father was GERALD or JERRY SEYMOUR. This is all the information that I have concerning my relatives other than some of my father's brothers and sisters. They were Newton Beauford Seymour, Dorothy Seymour(Stoner), Edna Pearl Seymour, Dolores Seymour, Carl Howard Seymour, Bill Seymour, Barbara Ann Seymour(Hill, Zella Mae Seymour,Eulene Seymour and Jack Seymour (I never knew what his real name was - Jack was a nick name). Most of the Seymour family still lives in Texas or so I am told. I would really like to be able to construct a family ancestry tree for my own children. I would also like to trace my ancestors back to the country that they emigrated from. I have been told that our family, maybe even GERALD SEYMOUR, emigrated to America from Ireland. I would really like to be able to verify this information. I will be traveling to Ireland very soon and I would like to be able to visit the areas where my ancestors would have come from. CAN ANYONE OUT THERE HELP ME?
