Erasmus D and Eliz. S. Galbraith moved to Wharton, Texas in 1850. I just got that year today in the mail from the obit of their daughter Margaret Louise Galbraith who was born in 1846 in Madison County, Mississippi. E.D. and Eliz. had other children also. They were all born in Mississippi except George b1851. Mary Ann 1843(1839?), Anna 1844, "R" (female on 1860 Wharton census)1845, Margaret Louise b1846 (went by Louisa sometimes), (the census listed M L as 11, but M L was my G grandmother and I know she was born in Oct 1846 and was 13 at the time of the June 1860 census. Robert 1849. The 1860 census in Wharton lists the children as being born in SC which is wrong. They were born in Mississippi. Eliz and George are not on the 1860 census because they both died in 1859 and are buried in Wharton City cemetery next to M L's family plot. M L married Dr. Jack Phillips. I cannot find where E. D. Galbraith is buried. Does anyone know? Also does anyone know who "R" female is? Does anyone know the parents of Hermann Galbraith, 1882-1907, a cousin but raised as a brother to Eula Phillips? Did Anna Galbraith b 1844 marry? What happened to her?
