In Dec 1907 Jonathan Stevens Cox died in Louise, Wharton,TX. His wife Almeta Bailey Cox died in Jan 1907, probably in the same area. Their deaths are not on state indexs. They left three daughters in the area, Marietta Merriman, Ida Nan Merrifield, and Annie Forbes. In the 1940s descendents of these daughters were still scattered from Houston on south. What resources are available to locate information on JS Cox and his descendents.
