Ophea, I am looking for some information on a Gustavus Erixon Edwards who was born in Circa 1786 in Paris, Bourbon County, KY. He was one of the old three hundred colonists and received title to a league of land in present Wharton County on August 19, 1824. In 1825 he was operating the Robinson ferry on the Brazos River at the site of Washington-on-the-Brazos. Edwards was the postmaster at Piney in October 1836. In July 1837 he sold his Austin County farm and moved to his league in Wharton County. He was living in Wharton County in 1856.

He 1st married Evelina BROWNE in Logan County, KY. and they had one child Mary Jane Edwards who married Robert McAlpin WILLIAMSON in Austin, Texas.

He 2nd married Hannah KINCHLOE in 1823.

Does your information have anything regarding this family?
