Was the wife of John Sayles Mary Elizabeth Gillespie, daughter of Berry and Emily (Lane) Gillespie/Gillespy? John apparently had a distinguished career in law and public life. Does anyone know anything about his in-laws? The Census of 1850 for Washington Co., TX, would seem to have them living in the household of Money, B. Galsper. Is this an error?
