Please read my other posts which I made, showing the Probate and Will of Dulcebella, and the probate records of James M. Crawford, his wife.

My family's homesteads were all nearby: Kirk Place I believe became Dillen Place in the Early 1900's, and Duncan Place would have existed as such from about 1840 to after 1880.

See the 1880 census for Independence, Texas:

Jeff D. DUNCAN Son S Male W 15 TX Farming KY SC
Brice DUNCAN Son S Male W 14 TX Works On Farm KY SC
