My great-grandparents supposedly lived in Grandfalls, although apparently they are buried in Snyder, Scurry Co., TX. The Boyd families appear on the 1880 Census in Eastland Co.
James Robert Boyd was b. in MS in April 1831; d. in 1913.
Mary Ann JOHNSTON Boyd was b. in AL in April 1834; d. 1912.
My grandmother, Annie BOYD, married LABE BATES HANSON in Sterling City in December 1899, and they moved to Water Valley, Tom Green Co., TX.
The Boyd clan seems to have moved around a lot, with some of the family eventually ending up in Oklahoma.
My father remembered visiting his Aunt (Susan) Alice Boyd MURRAY in Grandfalls in about 1920-22.
Grasping at straws and hoping someone will recognize the names and be able to provide/share information. Thanks!
