Seeking information on Rev. Denton Polk Haggard, b. 1845 in Roane Co. TN & d. ca. 1899 in GA.
He married, 1873 Nettie Minor at Denton, TX.
He was a minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church at Hempstead, Waller County, TX. and Editor of a prohibition newspaper. (Listed as a Pvt. in Company D - 5th Calvary of the Tennessee Militia.) Only 2 sons are known.
A widower, in poor health, he moved from TX. to Atlanta, GA. about late 1890's.
1. Ernest Haggard, believed to live in GA. at that time period.
2. William Haggard, also thought to live in GA. at that time period.
