Wish to exchange information on my Turner's of Walker County, Texas.

William Cecil Turner married Emily Jane Hemphill in Angelina County, Texas in 1881. They soon were in Walker County where children were born and died.

William Cecil and some of his children moved on to Montgomery County and many descendants remain there today.

William and Emily had 7 children. Five lived to adulthood.

1. James Samuel Turner (1881-1954) - was a Baptist preacher and a guard at the Huntsville prison. He married Mary Lee Johnson (1886-1997). James Samuel and Mary Lee are buried in Pool Cemetery, Montgomery County, Texas.

2. Laura Turner (1885 - 1889) buried in Walker County.

3. Lue Isaac Turner (1887-1974) married Sarah L. Gregg (1887-1924?). Lue was born in Walker County, died in Montgomery County and buried in Pool Cemetery in Montgomery County.

4. William Ernest Turner (1889-1960) married Clemmice Woolley (1896-1967). Died in Walker County, buried in Montgomery County in Pool Cemetery.

5. Wesley Moses Turner (1891-1967) born in Texas, died and buried in Oklahoma. Married 3 times 6 children. #1 wife was Maude Lenora Nobles, (1892-1971)

6. Viola "Ola" Turner (1893-1944) married James W. Long, Sr.

7. Rosa "Rosie" Turner (1895-1909) buried Pool Cemetery, Montgomery County.

I have much to share and appreciate any help.

Betty
