Hardy Family in 1870 census

Is anyone familiar with the family of Robert Hardy in the 1870 Walker County census? He had a son John C. Hardy listed as 20 years old born in AL. I am trying to determine if this is or is not a John C. Hardy from whom I descend who was in Tennessee by 1880. The dates are a bit off, but my John Hardy never gave a consistent age to the census takers. His tombstone says he was born in 1859, but who knows?
