Researching McCONNELL and MERRIMAN in Victoria County, TX.
My GG Grandfather, Andrew Brindley McCONNELL, had a sheep ranch in Victoria, TX, c 1860 to at least 1876.
My G-Grandparents, Simon Willis MERRIMNAN and Sarah Adeline McCONNELL, lived there briefly in about 1874-1877. They were there along with my G-Grandparents siblings who were also married: Harriet Isabelle ("Belle") MERRIMAN and Franklin Rogers McCONNELL.
My Grandfather, Willis Lee MERRIMAN, was born there 11 December 1875.
I am interested in identifying the location of the ranch and a birth record for my Grandfather, Willis Lee Merriman. I would also like to connect with any others researching these surnames or who have information about these families.
