FORTSON FAMILY SURNAME. There were dozens of Fortsons born in Van Zandt Co.Texas in the 1800's. There must be descendants there now. My Fortson great great grandfather was Jeptha M. Fortson, b. 1843 Ms. son of Aaron J. Fortson.
Believe Jeptha Fortson was a preacher. He is found in the 1900 McLennan Co.Texas census as such. Anyone left in VZ?
