Jim Fancher guilty of tick dipping-possibly Van Zandt County, Texas

I found the following newspaper clipping among my great-aunts papers. I have no family connection or further information. The date or name of the newspaper was not kept, but she lived in Van Zandt County, Texas. Other news clippings with this one, and as old looking, had dates of 1918 and 1919.
I have also posted this on the Fancher Family Genforum.

"Jim Fancher pleaded quilty in justice court here this week to a violation of the tick dipping law and was fined $25.00. It seemed at first there would be a trial of the case, but there were other similar charges pending against the accused and it is undertsood the prosecution was willing to drop these, if he would plead guilty. It is the intention of the officers to enforce the provisions of this law and those having stock to dip should make up their minds to observe the regulations of the act strictly."
