Hi! That must be him because the dates seem to fit. It is the only J. R. Scott that I can find anyway. Also Michael Mack Robinett lived near Wills Point. They got into some trouble with the saloon. I will call my mother and ask her the details because I do not want to pass on the wrong info. I do know that they moved the saloon between Kaufman and Van Zandt. We think they may have been selling drinks before they got the license. We have a copy of the license and the bar tab book.--Jen
