My grandmother's middle name was Ritchie, and I've always thought she must have been named after a branch of her family. Since all the branches of my mother's family tree converged in Van Zandt Co. in the late 1800's to early 1900's, I suspect there is some kind of link to the Ritchie family you mentioned. My grandmother was Millie Ritchie Stepp, daughter of Richard Frank and Amanda M. Stepp (maiden name unknown, her first husband was John W. Wells). If anyone knows of any family ties, I would appreciate hearing from you.
