Richey's/Ritchie's of Wills Point, TX - Epidemic
Posted by: Kathleen McWilliams (ID *****9996) Date: March 21, 2002 at 09:24:00

Looking for any info on the Richey or Ritchie family of Wills Point, TX. Only name I have is "Charley or Charlie Richey or Ritchie" born sometime between 1860 and 1870, possibly in MS,TN, or TX. Charley Richey lived in Wills Point in late 1800's and had 5 children ALL who died of some epidemic. This info is from a very aging cousin and this is all she remembers of my ggrandmother's (Ada Allice Richey) brother, Uncle Charley. Does anyone recognize the Richey name in Wills Point and has anyone ever heard of an epidemic that would have killed an entire family of children? All info appreciated. Thx, Kathy
