The Gilmer County library has a website with mailing address and an email address. If you haven't found the obits, yet, you might contact them. If they don't have back issues of the local newspaper they should know who would have them.

I've heard the University of Texas in Austin has a large collection of old Texas newspapers, but not sure about that information.
