Are you sure her husband was J.B., not J.T.? Do you know the names of any of her children?

1880 census Walker Co, TX:

Category: Name; Relationship to head of household; Marital Status; Gender; Race; Age; Birthplace; Occupation; Father's Birthplace; Mother's Birthplace.

J. T. VICK Self M Male W 43 MS Farmer --- ---
E. A. VICK Wife M Female W 44 MS House Keeping SC MS
William VICK Son S Male W 20 TX Farm Hand MS MS
Peter VICK Son S Male W 14 TX Farm Hand MS MS
John VICK Son S Male W 10 TX MS MS
Henry VICK Son S Male W 8 TX MS MS
Susan VICK Dau S Female W 7 TX MS MS
James VICK Son S Male W 5 TX MS MS
Mary VICK Dau S Female W 2 TX MS MS

If this is the couple you want, then go to Rootsweb's WorldConnect site -- http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi -- I used name of one of the sons, type in Vick, Peter, b 1866 + or - 5 years, born in Texas. There are others working on this line. The site isn't working tonight, but there's enough in the index portion to see it's this family from the 1880 census.

Happy Hunting (^_^)
