H.C.Perry/H.P.Carson b. Jefferson Co. Ark. 1858 d. Upshur Co. Tx. 1929. He m. widow Della Burcham Tye in Upshur Co. 18 Sept. 1901. They had son, Gannie Perry and daughter Hetty before Della d. about 1908 Around 1910 H.C. took his kids to Grant Co. Ark. where they met a man named Gainey Reeves, "their own first cousin." (Grant Co. Ar. 1880 census, pg. #11 in h.h. of James F. Reeves) H.C.Perry carried a fiddle with him at all times, and once said that he guessed his French blood was what made him love to play. Another time he said his grandfather was a General. Soon before he died he told his son that his real name was H.P.Carson. He left a wife in Ark., came to Tx. and changes his initials around to become H.C.Perry. Married Della without a divorce from his Ark. wife. There is 2 year old H.P.Carson on 1860 Jefferson Co. Ar. census with 62 y.o. William Carson b. Ohio, and 42 y.o. Anna b. Louisiana. (pg.#159, family #156) After years I have found no Gen. Perry, Carson, Reeves or Gainey, but recently found a Gen. Francois Gainnie. He moved from New Orleans to Natchitoches Parish, La. in 1835. He was a Whig and was killed in 1839 in a duel with Dem. Congressman Pierre Bossier. Gen. Gainnie had son Valery b. 1816 in New Orleans. Did he have daughter Anna b. 1818, who was mother to H.C.Perry/H.P.Carson All info on any name mentioned, appreciated.
