I was recently doing a little research on this family because the Parker family (mainly the children of Jim Burnet Parker were in a feud with the Reynolds in the 1930s. My great-uncle Lent Reynolds shot Jim's son William "Junior" Parker in April 1933 at a dance when a shoot-out occurred. He said he was aiming at another Parker, his brother Jake. After that there was a standing feud between the Reynolds and the Parkers. Lent Reynolds was later shot and killed in January of 1951 by a bar owner. What was interesting about the research is that I found out that the Parkers and the Reynolds were actually cousins of one another. Jim Burnet Parker was married to Alona Lowery daughter of Sarah Alice Maricle. She was the sister to Mary Elizabeth Maricle Reynolds. So Lent shot his first cousin, once removed. Who knew????? Might as well keep that feuding all in the family.
