Additional information for Samuel Turner and Emily Midkiff Turner Reunion ***

Samuel B. Turner was born 1812 in SC. Came to TX 15 Sep 1837 (this is documented) married Emily Midkiff 15 Aug 1839 in Nacogdoches Co, TX (have document) was in Jasper Co, TX for the 1850 census with 4 children (have copy of census)

Was in Trinity Co, TX for the 1860 census shown as a widower with 7 children (have copy of census) Emily is shown on the 1860 Mortality schedule as dying in Trinity County, TX May 1860 from Pneumonia (do not have copy of this, but I read it in the book myself)

Samuel received a land grant for 1280 acres of land for coming to Texas --- have many documents on this.

Childrens names:
1. Pleasant D. Turner
2. Mary A. E. Turner
3. Samuel Houston Turner
4. Emily Turner
5. Moses K. Turner
6. Candis Perndis Turner (this child shown as male and female, no othr information)
7. William Cecil Turner - the 1860 census show this child born 1856, but all records after 1860 have him born 1859.

Have copy of William Cecil Turner's death certificate that shows his parents names as Samuel Turner and Emily Midkiff

Family names: BEAVERS, CHANDLER, CRAWFORD, FRANKLIN, HEMPHILL, MIDKIFF, TURNER, WEST
