Hello Carolyn,

I believe WH Allen & Sarah Rumsey are my great, great-grandparents. My great-grandfather is George Washington Rumsey. In researching him, I found that WH Allen and Sarah Cotner (Cottner) Rumsey were listed as his parents. Grandpa Rumsey was originally from Lampasas I believe. I don't have my records with me, but he spent most of his adult life in Hays and Travis counties. He died in 1970 in Austin. If I remember correctly, he was in his 80's. He married and divorced either Minnie or Myrtle (sisters), then married the other and when she passed away, he married the first one again. He was a weathered, tall, slender man with ice blue eyes. Hopefully you can shed some light on this side of my family. Thanks, Kathleen
