I am researching the life and times of Rufus Highnote. He was one of three children of Napoleon Bonepart (Bobey) Highnote and Martha Hills. One of his sisters died in infancy. The other grew to adulthood and married a Jim Bowers. In 2002 this sister was living in Austin.
I have to believe there are descendants out there somewhere. Would like to make contact. I have pieced together the life of Rufus Highnote (up until his death in April 1918 in Carter Co., OK).
Does a photo exist of Rufus? Was there a particular reason he left Navarro Co., TX and moved to Creek Co., OK. He later moved to CarterCo., OK where he was killed.
Any and all information appreciated.
