Just thought you might be interested in knowing that, although the state and counties both charge $9.00, I imagine you get the birth and death certificates much sooner through the counties. I requested a death certficate on my great grandfather six weeks ago from state. I still have not received it, however they did cash my check within about a week. My great grandfather died in San Angelo, and I just wish I had ordered the certificate from Tom Green County
