Lankford was the the name of one of my grandmother's cousin who lived in San Angelo. Uncle Henry and Aunt Bessie lived in southeast San Angelo near the old Fort Concho. They had one daughter, Buela and one son, Henry Jr. Henry Jr. still lives there. The San Angleo Standard Times,the local newspaper, has a web page. The census bureau has old records that can be searched after 72 years. The county clerk's office in San Angelo has birth, marriage, and death records. Most records can be accessed via computer, if you have a reason and the money to get records. There is a Historical Society in San Angelo.
