Hello Janet,

Are you still willing to do lookups in San Angelo?
This is very kind of you.
I am seeking info for a James W Johnson & family that was listed in the 1900 Tom Green, Pct 1, census.
I have no idea where Pct 1 was, but the census suggest it may have been downtown. He was a saloon keeper and owned home free of mortgage. I would be interested in learning when he arrived in Tom Green and purchased land & saloon.
Census info of members of his family were:
J W Johnson-38-Dec 1861 married 20 yrs-MO MO MO
Mary Johnson-35-May 1865 wife 3 of 6 children living TX AL AL
Lewis-17 May 1883-son-TX MO TX
Margaret-9-July 1890-dau-TX MO TX
May-5-July 1894-dau-TX MO TX

J W, Mary and May were in Logan, AR by 1910 census.
A marriage license was not found for J W and wife. Mary's maiden name is still unknown. I am hoping the land records would give me a clue as to where else I might search.

Children, Lewis & Margaret have not been found after the 1900 census either.
I am willing to reimburse you of copies & time.
Anything would be appreciated.

You can email me at my private address-hootybear@aol.com

Thank you in advance.
Pat
