I found this at the Tom Green co Library. Several City Directory books are missing.
I have to say I did so much that I am now confused but I believe the name was sometimes spelled Biddie. Do not go by how I spell it here as fact for how it is written in the books.

1915/16: lists a Harry Tharp
1925: W Clyde & Cleo, carpenter ( I note this because Elmer shows as carpenter... relation?)
Jos(eph) O & Pearl
1927/28 no Elmer
1929/30: Elmer & Bittie listed in Lakeview Addition
1931: same

They continue to be listed living on north side of town thru 1956, usually as him as a carpenter or bldg contractor.

1938: Alton M, carpenter, first appears living with Elmer & Biddie
1939: same

1944: (war time)
Elmer & Biddie.. same
Mrs Jacque L Tharp, credit mgr for local jeweler, living in San Angelius Hotel.

1946: Jacque Tharp still listed apparently alone

1954: Alton M & 'Jackie' listed

1956: Elmer is bldg contractor w/ Biddie
Alton is foreman of construction co, but never shows up again.

1957: Elmer is nightwatchman, and Bittie is never listed again.
1962: Elmer listed
1963 book is missing
1964: Elmer is no longer listed

I will check with Fairmount (note correct spelling) Cemetery for more info in a few days.

hope this helps, Randy
