I need copies of newspaper article(s) that may have appeared in March 1936, plus obituaries, if available.

My uncle, Labe Bates (L.B.) Hanson, Jr., drowned in Lake Nasworthy, along with his fishing partner. According to family, L.B. and his friend were "excellent" swimmers, but drowned when a storm blew in and overturned their boat. They became tangled in the trot (?) lines and drowned.

L.B. Hanson, Jr. was born in Water Valley, TX on February 22, 1908, son of L.B. Hanson Sr. and his wife Annie Hanson. I don't have an exact date for the drowning accident--just March 1936. L.B.'s wife was Celia Wilcox Hanson; they had two young sons at the time he died.

L.B. Jr. drowned less than a month after the death of his father L.B. Hanson Sr. This was a pretty traumatic time for the family and no one ever wanted to talk about it, so I need whatever information I can find.

I'm in Austin, so I'll be happy to return the favor if you need me to look up anything for you at the State Archives.

Thanks a bunch,
