I had been in contact with a nice fellow and we were both researching the same line. He had said he found proof of birth in Titus Co. for William Samuel (Sam) Hutchison b. abt 1845 WS Hutchison was one of three children of: William Hutchison b. abt 1805 He has an older sister Susanna b. abt 1843 Tx and Mary E b. 1849 Texas I have located this family on the 1860 census and beyond. I have yet to find proof earlier than 1860 I lost contact with my fellow researcher after a move and have been unable to find any records in Titus county for this family. Additionally, there is a disagreement about who the mother may be for these children. Based on the 1880 census for WS Hutchison he has his parents and younger sister and nephews in his household. WS (samuel) hutchison lists his mother's birthplace as GA (as does Susanna) but his "mother" in his household lists her birthplace as NC. Mary also lists mother's birthplace as NC. Winnie (Winnefred) is the mother on the 1880 census. I have suggested that there was perhaphs another wife who was the mother of Susanna and WS. Winnie was Mary's mother. Descendants of Susanna have also suggested that her mother was Native American. I am looking for any record that would place William Hutchison(b.1805) and/or WS Hutchison(b.1845) in Titus county in 1840-1850. Notify Administrator about this message?
